We work with Challenging Learning, a shared pedagogical approach with five focus areas: dialogue, feedback, transitions, challenges, and mindset. The goal is to create instruction that strengthens students' thinking, creativity, and curiosity, makes them more aware of their own learning, and contributes to increased goal achievement. Based on this approach, we are starting a two-year practice-based development initiative this fall: Language in Different Environments. This is done in collaboration with Linnaeus University, where preschools and schools jointly formulate and test language-developing interventions in interaction. The aim is to strengthen children's and students' learning and participation by making visible and developing the role of language in different environments and in all subjects. 1 position(s). DUTIES Due to retirement, we are now seeking a new principal for the Fliseryd school area, which includes preschool, elementary school (grades F-6), and after-school care. The preschool has 44 enrolled children and the elementary school has 107 students. We are looking for someone who is a clear pedagogical leader with a genuine interest in driving school development. You are responsible for and organize personnel, work environment, the operation's systematic quality work, and finances within the allocated budget. In the operation, there is an assistant principal responsible for preschool and administration. Together with the assistant principal and staff, you as principal will drive the operation forward with children and students in focus. You report directly to the operations manager and will be part of the operations management team, where you are expected to contribute, collaborate, and participate in and drive common development initiatives. As principal, you are expected to: • lead, plan, follow up, and develop the operation based on goals, mission, and financial frameworks • create clarity, structure, and participation in change and development work • work closely with staff while maintaining focus on mission, results, and the bigger picture • contribute to good cooperation with students, guardians, colleagues, and other collaboration partners • actively work with work environment, competency supply, and quality • contribute to digital development, new work methods, and more efficient processes that strengthen the quality of operations QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a certified teacher, preferably with experience working as a principal. If you have completed or are currently pursuing the national principal training program, that is a merit. You need to have a good understanding of the municipal mission and be able to balance quality, work environment, finances, and legal security. We are looking for someone who: • is secure, clear, structured, and present in your leadership • has the ability to create direction, prioritize, and make decisions even when many initiatives are ongoing simultaneously • is open to change and has the courage to challenge established practices when the operation needs to change • can lead change in a way that creates understanding, participation, and responsibility, for example implementing governance documents and national reforms into functioning local practice • can lead through and create a culture characterized by cooperation, dialogue, trust, good relationships, job satisfaction, and clear expectations • can work both independently and together with management colleagues from a holistic perspective • can lead systematic quality work with focus on teaching and results It is a requirement that you have good computer skills and can express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written.
