Bäckskolan is a primary school with a preschool class through grade 3 and is located on the outskirts of Kisa in close proximity to a residential area. The school has approximately 230 students and approximately 40 staff distributed across 13 classes and 3 after-school care units. Bäckskolan has a large schoolyard that offers various activities with proximity to nature and forest. As principal of Bäckskolan, you will have the opportunity to lead a dedicated staff with the students' best interests in focus. You will also have management support from a deputy principal. As principal, you have overall responsibility for students, staff, quality, finances, and work environment. Together with the school's staff, including student support services, you will work strategically to create good conditions for all students' learning and development. You will receive support and report to the responsible school director, and you will be part of the education management group together with fellow principals. We are looking for a decisive and solution-focused school leader who thrives working close to operations and with a focus on development. You are well versed in the school's governing documents and have experience with systematic quality work, as well as experience managing financial responsibility. You have the ability to plan and prioritize your time based on what is best for the operations. You also have the courage to make difficult decisions, stand by the decisions that are made, and make the necessary considerations to create the best possible operations for our students and staff.
