About the Operation We are now seeking a Refurbishment Technician who wants to become part of our team. Assistive Devices Västernorrland has chosen to work extensively with reuse, and the proportion of refurbished assistive devices is 75% of our daily deliveries to users throughout Västernorrland. Assistive Devices Västernorrland works to offer appropriate medical technical assistive devices with broad expertise and high service quality so that people with disabilities can have an easier everyday life and increased independence and security. The operation is quality-certified according to ISO 9001 standard, and we have described processes, routines, and instructions for how the work is to be performed. Assistive devices are prescribed to individuals by healthcare personnel from the region or municipalities, who order the devices from us at Assistive Devices Västernorrland. We have daily transports throughout the region. The operation is revenue-financed, has a turnover of approximately 200 million SEK, and has 57 employees. The operation consists of three units (Technical Service, Logistics, and Consultant). You will be part of a team consisting of technicians, logistics personnel, consultants, as well as administrators and a staff unit. This is a permanent full-time position based in Sundsvall. Start date by agreement in autumn 2026. Job Responsibilities As a Refurbishment Technician, you will work with returns, cleaning, refurbishment, and repair as well as assembly of assistive devices such as manual wheelchairs, walkers, shower chairs, beds, etc. The main task is refurbishment of assistive devices. An important part of the position is to continuously stay updated with technical developments in assistive devices. Through your work, you contribute to ensuring that users have access to safe, appropriate, and up-to-date assistive devices that support their participation and independence.
