Records Officer for the Digitalization and Service Department
The Digitalization and Service Department is responsible for Mid Sweden University's IT, Service Center, Archives and Records Management, and media production. The department consists of approximately 50 employees and operates in both Östersund and Sundsvall. Within the department, technical support, development, operations, information security, telephony, and service center functions are managed. The department has both operational and strategic responsibility in these areas. Job Responsibilities We are seeking a new colleague for our records department. Being a records officer at Mid Sweden University means you are a supporting function to other operations where you constantly work to make it easy to do the right thing. The work is outward-facing with many contacts both external and internal. Your assignment includes the continuous development of related processes and systems. There is significant scope within the function to implement changes. Job responsibilities include handling incoming mail and records department email, records management, release of public documents, information searches, advice, and training. Other related tasks will be added as you work in a team with others in the Service and Support unit. The position is based in Sundsvall, but travel between campuses may occur. Your Background We are looking for someone with education in archives and records management, or alternatively, someone with extensive work experience in this field. You have current experience working in systems for managing records of public documents as well as electronic document management. You need to have good knowledge of laws and regulations governing public operations, as well as the records officer's role and responsibility, and experience with qualified work as a records officer in public operations. You also have strong ability to express yourself in speech and writing, both in English and Swedish. It is an advantage if you have experience working in the W3D3 system. Your Qualities To thrive in the records officer role with us, you need to be thorough and well-organized and be able to handle rapid changes that may occur. You take responsibility for your own learning, work independently, and trust your knowledge and abilities. It is important that you enjoy sharing your knowledge and collaborating with others. You need to be interested in developing operations within records management but also enjoy working with more routine tasks. We place great importance on your personal qualities such as service mindedness and the ability to communicate and collaborate. Employment and Start Date The position is a permanent, full-time employment with a start date of October 1, 2026, or by agreement. A probationary period may be applied.
