About the Position
We are now recruiting two Registrars for a government agency that will primarily work with document registration and mail processing, as well as registering incoming documents in the agency's records system. Additionally, as needed, tasks may include sorting incoming mail in the agency mailbox, opening post, and handling phone calls from the public.
Document registration includes assessing which process the document belongs to, what type of document it is, and whether the document is classified or not. Dialogue with the operations team regarding document registration matters is an important part of the work. The registrar function is led by a coordinator who also serves as mentor and support for document registration matters. Work in the registrar function occurs in a team with close collaboration with other colleagues.
The Information Management Unit is responsible for document registration, disclosure of public records, case management systems, and archives. The unit employs approximately 20 people. The unit has a dedicated registrar function that primarily handles document registration of incoming materials. Work in the registrar function is mainly digital, and we have a high volume of document inflow.
