The Office of the University Management's primary mission is to provide strategic and preparatory support to the university's management processes. The office works based on the university's goals and vision to coordinate work with operational planning and monitoring, conduct investigations, conduct operational development and quality assurance work. The latter includes the university's responsibility as a public authority, such as recording and registration of documents, preservation of records, and work with internal regulations, lawful and clear decision structures, and relevant legal matters. The department has approximately 30 employees based in Kalmar and Växjö. The office is led by a department head. The Archives and Records Section is one of the office's two sections. The section has overall responsibility for the university's archives and records and provides support in the preservation and release of documents. The university's registrars and archivists collaborate in this work and in developing working methods. The section is led by a section head. Job Description: The university's archives and records consist of four registrars and two archivists. As a registrar, you will work with recording documents, handling internal and external requests, making assessments regarding sensitive personal data and confidentiality when releasing public records. You will also provide advice and support to decision-makers and case handlers on these matters. Within records and archives, work is ongoing to increase digitalization of working routines and documents. Qualifications: Requirements You must have an academic degree in a relevant field, or a vocational university degree as a document controller/registrar, or through work experience in the field equivalent competence in the profession. You must have experience working as a registrar and have knowledge of the laws and regulations that apply. You have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English both orally and in writing. Meritorious Experience with document management in public sector operations Experience working with electronic document/case management systems Experience working with improvement initiatives and development projects Personal qualities required for the position are that you have very good ability to collaborate and can easily communicate matters in your field with people who lack your professional expertise. You enjoy sharing your knowledge and place great value in finding solutions together with others. You are solution-oriented, accustomed to taking personal responsibility, and are quality-conscious. You have the ability to work with multiple tasks simultaneously, as well as the ability to drive work forward and deliver agreed results on time. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Employment Terms: Employment and scope: Permanent employment, full-time. Employment normally begins with a 6-month probationary period. Start date: Start date by agreement. Placement location: Placement location is Växjö, but travel to Kalmar will occur within the position.
