The Service Department The Service Department (SE) was formally established on January 27, 2025 with the mission to strengthen the Police's interaction with citizens by consolidating operations and national responsibility under one department. The department will have approximately 720 employees throughout the country, led by a department head, and consists organizationally of three units and a department office. The department is responsible for strengthening the Police's interaction with citizens and their service needs. We also work with citizen-centered matters and external channels, and continue to drive digital development to succeed. The Service Department also has responsibility for the agency's information management and is part of the crime-fighting mission. The department has both operational responsibility and national responsibility (process responsibility) in various areas, as well as responsibility for developing and monitoring these. The Unit for Disclosures and Information Services at the Service Department is responsible for developing the agency's digital and analog information management within archives, records management, written channels, scanning, and disclosure of public documents. The operation is also responsible for information provision and international exchange of judgments. As a register handler in the Registry Services group, you are part of the Unit for Disclosures and Information Services and work with registry maintenance in the suspicion and criminal records register to ensure accurate information and with record extracts from the registers. Work Tasks As a handler in registry services, you will work on processing matters that fall within the unit's areas of responsibility. To succeed in the handler role, you should be interested in case handling work and enjoy working at times with a high pace. We are now looking for employees for Registry Services who work with applications for record extracts from suspicion and criminal records registers for both individuals and other government agencies, work with registry maintenance in police registers and in registers within the judicial system. The work includes, among other things, investigating, reviewing, and ensuring that our registers are correct and in accordance with relevant legislation, as well as answering the public's questions about record extracts. We also work with improvement initiatives in various projects in several areas related to our operations in collaboration with other departments within the agency. Qualifications This is an opportunity for you who have: - Completed upper secondary education, preferably in social science, law, or economics - Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English - Good computer skills Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who has a genuine sense of service and enjoys a role with many different contact points. You have a good ability to plan and organize your work in a structured way. As a person, you are independent and take your own initiative to solve problems that arise and work proactively to streamline work. You are also flexible and have a good understanding of how work tasks need to be prioritized. The role requires that you have a good ability to see the bigger picture and an understanding of how different parts of the organization are integrated with each other. Since the position involves collaboration both internally and externally, you need to have good collaboration skills and the ability to work in a team.
