About the Southern Military Region
In the Southern Military Region's headquarters, both military and civilian personnel work together by coordinating military operations within their area and Home Guard activities. We are now seeking a temporary Regional Priest with a good understanding of military operations. The Regional Priest is part of the regional headquarters within the Personnel Department, which supports the commander in their leadership and creates conditions for the units within MR S to accomplish their tasks.
Main Responsibilities
The Regional Priest is responsible for and leads military pastoral care within the Southern Military Region. Military pastoral care aims to contribute to and strengthen the sense of coherence, thereby increasing the individual's ability to perform, create mental strength, and moral resilience. You will lead this work and provide support to the region's commanders. At the regional level, the work includes recruiting and coordinating the region's military chaplains. Also coordination in close collaboration with civilian, regional, and local authorities, such as municipalities, county administrative boards, and religious communities within MR S. You will serve as an expert in various planning and operations within the personnel service area. The Regional Priest should also be present in relevant civilian networks for environmental monitoring, to build a strong brand and help make the Swedish Armed Forces an integrated part of society.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
Completed relevant university/college education or education deemed equivalent by the employer
At least 5 years of experience as a parish priest or experience deemed equivalent by the employer
Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English
Driver's license, class B minimum (manual)

Foreign service, preferably within the framework of the Swedish Armed Forces
Other Information
Employment Type: Temporary position, approximately 8 months through June 30, 2027.
Employment Level: Full-time. Evening and weekend duty may occur, as well as travel with overnight stays.
Work Location: Lund.

The Southern Military Region (MR S) is a war unit and an organizational unit where the Commander and Staff are located in Revingehed. The organization consists of a Commander with staff, five military region groups for training and support of the Home Guard, and approximately 7,000 Home Guard soldiers organized in eleven battalions and several independent units.
