Jēkabpils Municipality Development Administration (registration number 40900038701) invites applications for a Business Development Specialist position
Position Purpose: To ensure investment attraction and business development, and to implement remigration support measures in Jēkabpils Municipality
Main Responsibilities:
1. Promote the development of the business environment in Jēkabpils Municipality by collaborating with local entrepreneurs, business support institutions, state and municipal authorities.
2. Provide advisory support for starting businesses in Jēkabpils Municipality, informing about opportunities for attracting funding and current support options in the sector.
3. Organize events and activities aimed at strengthening enterprise competitiveness, growth, and innovation capacity, and facilitate experience exchange and knowledge development among entrepreneurs.
4. Coordinate the development, implementation, and administration of municipal business support instruments, manage entrepreneur initiatives, and administer municipal grant competitions for entrepreneurs.
5. Prepare investment proposals for properties located in the municipality's territory.
6. Participate in addressing issues related to municipal development planning, investment attraction, and project implementation, among others.
Requirements for Applicants:
1. Higher education in social sciences.
2. Ability to work with regulatory acts and projects co-financed by European Union or local and foreign financial instruments, and knowledge of the business environment in Latvia.
Professional Skills:
1. Good English language skills (necessary for communication with foreign investors and implementation of project activities).
2. Good communication, control, and organizational skills, ability to organize events.
3. Good interpersonal and presentation skills, ability to publicly present investment projects.
4. Experience working with computers (MS Office applications) and internet browsers.
5. Category B driver's license.
