About the Role and Client Company On behalf of our client, Retreat People is now seeking a confident and relationship-focused accounting consultant. Our client is a well-established and growing accounting firm (founded in 2011) with over 14 experienced colleagues and more than 300 corporate clients. The firm distinguishes itself through its strong focus on personal service—their stated vision is to act as "the company's best friend." In your role as an accounting consultant, you will become a vital piece of the puzzle for your clients, functioning as their own external accounting department. You will work independently but as part of a close-knit team with a collaborative atmosphere, where colleagues support each other daily. Your Primary Responsibilities: As a consultant at this firm, it's not just about crunching numbers, but understanding the business behind them and guiding clients forward. Your days will consist of: - Full responsibility for ongoing accounting for your own clients, including accounts payable and receivable as well as reconciliations. - Year-end closing work, including independent preparation of monthly and annual financial statements as well as annual reports (for example according to K2/K3). - Tax and declarations, including VAT and employer declarations as well as corporate income tax filings. - Payroll administration for your clients' employees. - Qualified financial advisory, where you actively serve as a sounding board for business owners regarding profitability, liquidity, and growth. Who Are You? We're looking for someone who combines strong numerical skills with excellent communication abilities. Since advisory work and frequent client contact are a major part of the role, you enjoy building long-term relationships and find it easy to explain financial matters to people without your expertise. You are unpretentious, solution-oriented, and take great personal responsibility for your deliverables. Qualifications We Seek: - Relevant post-secondary education in accounting/finance. - At least 3 years of practical experience working at an accounting firm. - Experience independently handling the entire process through financial statement and annual report preparation. - Good system skills and a willingness to work in a digitalized environment. - Fluent Swedish, both spoken and written. - It is highly advantageous if you are a Certified Accounting Consultant, but it is not an absolute requirement.
