About the Role and Client Company On behalf of our client, Retreat People is now seeking a reliable and relationship-building accounting consultant. Our client is an established and growing accounting firm (founded 2011) with over 14 experienced colleagues and more than 300 business clients. The firm stands out through its strong focus on personalized service – their stated vision is to act as a "company's best friend". In your role as an accounting consultant, you will become a vital piece of the puzzle for your clients, functioning as their own external finance department. You will work independently but be part of a close-knit team with a collaborative atmosphere, where colleagues support each other daily. Your Main Responsibilities: As a consultant at this firm, it's not just about crunching numbers, but understanding the business behind them and guiding clients forward. Your days will consist of: Full responsibility for your own clients' ongoing accounting, including accounts payable and receivable as well as reconciliations. Year-end closing work, which includes independently preparing monthly and annual financial statements and annual reports (for example according to K2/K3). Tax and declarations, including VAT and employer declarations as well as company income tax returns. Payroll administration for your clients' employees. Qualified financial advice, where you proactively serve as a sounding board for entrepreneurs regarding results, liquidity, and business development. Who Are You? We are looking for someone who combines a sharp numerical mind with strong communication skills. Since advisory work and frequent client contact are a major part of the role, you thrive on building long-term relationships and have an easy time explaining financial matters to people without your expertise. You are unpretentious, solution-oriented, and take great personal responsibility for your deliverables. Qualifications We Seek: Relevant post-secondary education in finance/accounting. At least 3 years of practical experience working at an accounting firm. Experience independently managing the entire chain through to financial statements and annual reports. Good system proficiency and a willingness to work in a digitalized environment. Fluent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. It is highly advantageous if you are an Authorized Accounting Consultant, but it is not an absolute requirement.
