We are now seeking an accounting economist for a consulting assignment at a Swedish manufacturing industrial company with global operations and a strong production-focused environment. The assignment is initially a consulting engagement of approximately six months, with the ambition to transition to direct employment with the client thereafter. About the Role The client is currently implementing IFS Cloud, where the finance department plays a central role in ensuring well-functioning processes, data flows, and working methods. As an accounting economist, you will initially have a clear focus on the ERP implementation. Among other things, you will contribute to testing and quality assurance and work to ensure that the financial processes function properly in the new system. The role involves close collaboration with both the finance department and other parts of the business. To succeed, you need to understand how various events in the operations—for example, those related to inventory, materials, and production—affect financial flows. As the implementation progresses, the role will gradually transition to also include more traditional accounting tasks. Your Responsibilities In this role, you will, among other things: Participate in testing and quality assurance related to the IFS Cloud implementation Contribute to the development and improvement of financial processes and flows Work closely with the finance department and the rest of the business on matters related to business systems and accounting Ensure and develop financial flows related to, among other things, inventory, materials, and production Identify opportunities for improvement in working methods and system processes In the longer term, work with ongoing accounting and other relevant tasks within the finance function Who Are We Looking For? We are seeking someone with several years of experience as an accounting economist who wants to work in a role where accounting is combined with systems, processes, and business development. You are thorough and structured while being curious about how the finance function connects with the broader business. You enjoy collaborating with different parts of the organization and have the ability to both dive into details and understand the big picture in an industrial workflow. An interest in business systems and improvement work is important, and we would like to see that you have previously been involved in system implementations, system migrations, or similar change projects. Required Qualifications At least two years of experience as an accounting economist Experience from manufacturing industry Good experience working with ERP/business systems Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written Desirable Qualifications It is desirable if you have: Experience with ERP implementations Experience with system migrations or major change projects Worked as a superuser or key user within finance Experience with IFS or IFS Cloud Understanding of financial flows related to inventory, materials, and production About the Assignment This is initially a consulting engagement of approximately six months where you will be employed as a consultant and work on-site at our client. The ambition is for the assignment to subsequently transition to direct employment with the client.
