We are undergoing an organizational change where we are strengthening our accounting function, and we are now looking for an Accounting Economist who wants to be part of the journey. Here you will have an important role in a dedicated finance team with a strong focus on quality, structure, internal control, and digitalization.
You will have the opportunity to influence work methods, develop processes, and contribute to creating a stable and efficient finance function for the future. You will report to the Accounting Manager and work closely with both the finance department and the CFO.
About the Role
As an Accounting Economist, you will have a varied role where you combine ongoing accounting work with financial statements, reporting, and development of accounting processes.
You will, among other things:
- Work with ongoing accounting and account reconciliations.
- Take responsibility for parts of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Handle VAT, tax, and authority reporting.
- Ensure quality in accounting and financial reporting.
- Participate in internal control work and documentation of accounting processes.
- Identify and drive improvements and efficiencies using digital tools.
- Contribute to the development of data quality, master data, and accounting processes.
- Participate in analyses and financial follow-up.
- Provide qualified support to the organization in accounting and finance matters.
Who We Are Looking For
To succeed in this role, we would like you to:
- Have post-secondary education in economics or equivalent.
- Have a few years of experience with qualified accounting work.
- Have good knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles.
- Be thorough, structured, and quality-conscious.
- Enjoy developing work methods and creating structure.
- Have a genuine interest in systems and see digitalization as a tool for development.
- Have good analytical skills and understand the connection between accounting, follow-up, and business decisions.
- Be unpretentious, solution-oriented, and enjoy collaborating with others.
Meritorious
It is meritorious if you have experience with:
- SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA.
- Medius or other EFH system.
- Payroll administration.
- Qlik Sense, Power BI, or similar analysis tools.
- Process development, digitalization, or other improvement work.
