Modity is now seeking an Accounting Economist who wants to be part of developing the finance function while taking responsibility for qualified accounting work. About the roleYou will become part of the finance department which consists of seven people divided into three areas: financial settlement, physical settlement and accounting. The accounting team currently consists of two people and you will report directly to the CFO. The role suits you if you enjoy classical accounting work but are also driven by developing processes, streamlining workflows and creating smarter ways of working. Modity is facing several exciting development initiatives where the finance department wants to take further steps towards more automated and efficient processes. Here you will have the opportunity to be an important part of that journey. Your main responsibilities: Monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements Ongoing accounting and account reconciliations Reporting to authorities and external stakeholders Result analyses and financial follow-up Handling of payment flows and final bookings Preparation of annual reports Participation in operational and development projects Streamlining and automation of finance processes Manage and take responsibility for Modity's part in audit reviews Internal controls and process development System administration/superuser We are looking for you We are looking for someone with accounting experience who wants to take an active role in developing both working methods and processes. We see that you have: Post-secondary education in finance or accounting Approximately 3–5 years of experience with qualified accounting work Experience in preparing annual reports Experience in managing and taking responsibility for work with external auditors Experience with closing accounts and reporting Experience in developing or streamlining finance processes Good system skills and technical interest Good knowledge of Swedish and English It is meritorious if you have experience with the business system Dynamics 365 Business Central and have worked with Qlik Sense or similar BI tools for analysis, follow-up and reporting.
