Accounting Economist for Long-Term Assignment

SJR is now seeking an accounting economist for a consulting assignment with one of our clients in Göteborg. The assignment is full-time starting in mid-October and initially runs for nine months with excellent opportunities to transition into permanent employment with our client. We are looking for someone who thrives in a broad role where you work both operatively and close to business operations in a modern organization focused on development and efficiency improvements. About the Position As an accounting economist, you will be an important part of the finance function and work closely with both colleagues in finance and other parts of the organization. The role is varied and offers significant responsibility within several key accounting processes. Your main responsibilities include: • Responsibility for customer and supplier accounts receivable and payable • Invoicing and monitoring and quality assurance of the invoicing process • Payroll administration • Reporting to Skatteverket, including VAT and employer declarations • Invoicing for foreign subsidiaries and contact with external partners • Ongoing bookkeeping for smaller companies within the organization • Account reconciliations and ongoing accounting • Participation in monthly closing • Contributing to the development and efficiency improvement of accounting processes This is a role for someone who appreciates variety in their daily work and wants to contribute to improved ways of working within accounting. Desired Background We are looking for someone with several years of experience in accounting and who feels confident with ongoing financial work. You have a good understanding of accounting processes and enjoy taking responsibility for your work. Furthermore, you have an interest in efficient working methods and digital solutions. You communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. It is a merit if you have experience in payroll administration.
