Here you will be part of a dedicated finance team and get a broad role where you work with day-to-day accounting, reconciliations, and reporting – while also having the opportunity to contribute to the development and automation of financial processes. Main Responsibilities As an accounting economist, you will have an important role in daily financial work and are responsible for maintaining high-quality accounting. You work closely with both the finance function and operations, and your days will be varied with both recurring and development-oriented tasks. Day-to-day accounting in accordance with applicable regulations and internal guidelines Ensure quality and accuracy in balance sheets and income statements Responsibility for accounts payable and monitoring of accounts receivable Responsibility for monthly reconciliation of intercompany transactions against other group companies Payroll booking and handling of payroll payment files from an external payroll provider Participation in reporting to external authorities Ensure efficient financial processes, internal controls, and compliance with internal procedures Who Are We Looking For? To fit the role of accounting economist at Colmec, we would like you to have post-secondary education in economics. Your understanding of accounting processes and financial flows is solid and you ideally have several years of relevant experience in accounting. Furthermore, you have good system knowledge, preferably Jeeves, and an interest in developing work methods, processes, and internal controls. You welcome opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains and want to contribute to the development of Colmec's finance function. You have a structured and analytical approach to work with a natural focus on quality and accuracy. As a person, you are proactive, solution-oriented, and curious, with a willingness to learn and develop.
