We are now looking for you to contribute your expertise to a government agency during an intensive and important period. About the Position We at Perido are now seeking an accounting economist on behalf of our client, a government agency tasked with delivering administrative services and providing support to other government operations. You will be based at the office located in Östersund, with the possibility of remote work by agreement. The scope of the assignment is 50 - 100% of a full-time position; please indicate in your application which scope you are interested in and able to work. For a period of six months (with possible extension), the agency is seeking reinforcement to its accounting team in preparation for and during the annual financial closing. You will have an important role in the ongoing closing work and will contribute your experience to ensure accurate and efficient accounting during an intensive period. Qualifications (the requirements below must be met and clearly stated in your CV): - University degree in economics or equivalent education and at least three (3) years of work experience in similar work. Alternatively, secondary school or equivalent education in the relevant field and five (5) years of work experience as an accounting economist - Good knowledge of MS Office or equivalent - Experience in government accounting - Good knowledge of relevant accounting systems (for example Unit 4 ERP, Raindance, Visma, etc.) - Good knowledge and experience in preparing annual financial statements primarily from a government agency - Personal qualities to succeed in the role: being a consultant profile accustomed to serving and maintaining contact with various clients with the ability to create positive relationships with government clients and purchasers with the goal of creating satisfied customers - Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish, both verbally and in writing Scope and Start Date Part-time 50-100%, consultant assignment for 6 months, with the possibility of extension for an additional 6 months.
