The Operation
The Finance Unit, which has 7 employees, is organizationally placed at the Department for Operations Support and is responsible for financial statements, accounting, budgets, analyses, internal controls, coordination of financial processes, ensuring the agency's financial management, procurement, etc. The unit is also the contact point with Statens Servicecenter, which manages the electronic invoice management system Visma Proceedo as well as supplier payments. The agency has a turnover of around 350 million kr and revenue comes from assignments, appropriations, donations, foundations and the sale of goods and services. The Finance Unit is in close contact with all departments and units within the agency.
Job Duties
The role of Accounting Economist is varied and the tasks range from ongoing accounting work to government reporting. The position includes, among other things:
- handling external ongoing accounting
- handling reconciliations and tax declarations
- preparing monthly and annual financial statements
- government reporting, reporting in Hermes
- consultation, advice and support to managers, project leaders and other employees
Qualifications and Characteristics
You have the following background:
- University degree in economics/accounting or equivalent education.
- Good knowledge and several years of experience working in government accounting with the preparation of financial statements.
- Good knowledge of government regulations regarding accounting.
- We require that you have good knowledge of the Office package.
- Good knowledge of Swedish.
It is a merit if you have previously worked in the accounting system Unit 4 ERP (Agresso), are skilled in fixed asset accounting, have experience in change and development work, and have previously worked in multi-funded operations.

More about the Position and Application
The position is a parental leave substitute until February 2028. Start date by agreement. There is the possibility of extension or permanent employment.
