We are prepared to do what it takes, even in the most difficult situations. The Swedish Armed Forces Cyber Defense is now seeking more employees to expand its capacity in offensive cyber operations. Offensive operations aim to prevent or hinder an opponent from using their systems and to force the opponent to stop attacks. As a Red Team Operator, you will conduct penetration tests during peacetime to expand our capability in attack testing through simulations based on real attacks. About the Position As a Red Team Operator with us, you work in an environment designed for higher conflict levels, but we must be able to operate at all levels. Our cyber defense resources can also be used to support society during crises or other serious events. The position is demanding and varied, which requires independence and the ability to adapt. You are entering an exciting phase where you have the opportunity to influence the technical development of the operation. Your work assignments may be adapted according to your experience, conditions, and drive. Your primary work assignments: development of tools and infrastructure. conduct of realistic attack simulations. participation in the organization's continuous development and improvement work. It also involves compiling and presenting results both verbally and in writing from completed assignments. Exercises and training are conducted continuously. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a few years of experience in systems development or IT security-related work. Technical academic degree or knowledge acquired through relevant work experience. You have strong knowledge of at least one programming language (Rust, C/C++, Python). Knowledge of how operating systems, encryption, and networks function. Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English. Meritorious Experience with penetration testing or Red Team assignments. Red Team frameworks such as TIBER-EU. Knowledge of tools such as Bloodhound, Pacu, Burp, Metasploit, Cobalt Strike, and Mimikatz. Experience with modern development methods and CI/CD or container solutions. Knowledge of how to move through an environment after establishing access without creating attention. IT security certifications, such as OSCP, GPEN, or GXPN. Personal Qualifications You are responsible, unpretentious, and take initiative to contribute to achieving desired results in your work. You have strong integrity, are responsive, and work with precision, which characterizes your conduct in a group. You are analytical and genuinely interested in IT security and can prioritize between operational results and your own learning. You are change-oriented and self-driven based on what the situation requires. You have a high security awareness and apply a critical, ethical, and factual approach in your work.
