Gysinge Herrgård has attracted visitors for centuries and we understand why. Here, history and nature come together in a unique interplay on the banks of the Dalälven river. With 67 hotel rooms, a restaurant, café, and conference facilities, we offer our guests something extraordinary.
We are now seeking a Reception Manager who wants to take full responsibility for our front-of-house operations and ensure top-class delivery – both in daily operations and during conferences and events.
About the Role
In this position, you are responsible for operations, quality, and development within reception and housekeeping. You ensure that guest relations, staffing, working methods, and experience maintain a high and consistent level. The position combines operational presence with strategic responsibility and requires both organizational skills and decisiveness.
You have overall responsibility for conference and meeting bookings and ensure that every event is executed with high quality and professionalism. This means planning, coordinating, and following up on conferences and events in close collaboration with other departments at the hotel. You ensure that reception and housekeeping run smoothly in daily operations through clear staffing, effective procedures, and present leadership.
The role includes handling guest matters professionally and actively identifying areas for improvement and driving development within your areas of responsibility. You work closely with sales and marketing functions to strengthen our offering and contribute to developing products, services, and overall guest experiences. Budget responsibility, reporting, and follow-up are natural parts of the assignment.
You are part of the hotel's management team, report to the Hotel Manager, and have personnel responsibility for staff within reception and housekeeping. You lead and allocate work, create structure, and ensure that teams have the right conditions to deliver high quality every day.
