Start: Mid-September 2026 Employment: Permanent position – begins with a 6-month probationary period Scope: Full-time, year-round About the Role As reception manager, you hold a central and responsible position in our team. You lead the daily operations of the reception and are an operational force in our operations – but also a connecting link between guests, colleagues, and departments. During peak season, we grow from a team of 10 to over 40 employees, which demands structure, communication, and good planning. This is a year-round position with a focus on long-term commitment, where you are an important part of our development as a facility and workplace. You are responsible for routines, workflows, and quality in the guest experience, while introducing and supporting seasonal staff. You are both a team leader and a team player, with vision and a grounded approach. Your Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of the reception Ensure high and consistent service levels for our guests Handle bookings, invoicing, cash handling, and check-ins/check-outs Coordinate group and conference arrivals Introduce, plan, and support reception staff during the season Work closely with other departments in daily operations Develop and improve routines, systems, and service workflows Contribute to basic administration and reporting to site management We're Looking for You if You Have experience in reception or work within hotels or the tourism industry Thrive in a responsibility-taking role where you can lead and develop others Are organized, communicative, and solution-oriented Can handle a fast pace and varying work schedules Speak and write fluent Swedish and English Have experience with booking systems – preferably VisBook or similar We'll Teach You – if You Have the Right Attitude You don't need to have worked in a mountain environment or know our systems from the start. If you have a feel for service, enjoy collaborating, and take responsibility for your work – we'll teach you the rest. We're primarily looking for someone who is curious, solution-oriented, and motivated by being an important cog in a larger operation. About Hemavan's Fjällcenter Hemavan's Fjällcenter is a year-round-open accommodation facility in the heart of Hemavan, offering a wide range of hotel rooms, hostels, and cabins – totaling over 170 beds at the facility and approximately 160 cabins in the village. We also have camping facilities and a sauna area. At the heart of the facility is the restaurant and sports bar O'Learys, a natural meeting place for both guests and locals, featuring everything from dinner to live music and events. We also offer package deals, group bookings, and conferences, and during the winter season our workforce grows from 10 to over 40 people. Our operations span several departments – reception, cleaning, maintenance, events, and restaurant – which requires good cooperation, clear communication, and strong team spirit. With proximity to lifts, trails, and the mountain world, we offer our guests a complete mountain experience year-round.
