The Pharmacy Unit currently employs approximately 35 people. The majority of us are pharmacists, but we also have other professional categories employed in the unit.
Our mission is to promote safe, appropriate, and cost-effective medication use and medication supply, as well as to provide operational and strategic support to healthcare operations. Organizationally, we are part of hospital care and geographically located at the hospital in Växjö, but our mission covers the entire Kronoberg region.
The Pharmacy Unit's assignments fall within three main processes: medication supply, medication use, and patient-centered medication support.
Within these processes, we work with, among other things: hospital pharmacy functions with in-house supply, preparation of cytostatics and radiopharmaceuticals, fluid carts, medication services and medication dispensary management, emergency stock, participation in medical committees/drug committees, medication recommendations, information and education, monitoring and analysis of medication use, medication reviews, clinical pharmacy, ward preparation, referrals/medication inquiries, and patient education.

JOB DUTIES
The work tasks will primarily be within medication supply.
Assignment may be relevant at both of our hospitals in Växjö and Ljungby.
QUALIFICATIONS
For this position, you must be a licensed pharmacy technician, and it is an advantage if you have compounding authorization.
You are initiative-taking, responsible, structured, and flexible and have an easy time collaborating with others. You have excellent ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
We place great emphasis on your personal qualities, and after introduction and training, you should be able to work independently.
