About the Role

We are now looking for a reactor safety engineer to join the NESE group – Licensing Electrical and Electrical Analysis. The group belongs to the Facility Design unit at Forsmark's Technical Department.
Job Description
The group you will join is responsible for developing radiation safety documentation (SAR), conducting primary radiation safety reviews, and facility design within the areas of electrical and I&C. Within the group, dynamic electrical analyses are also performed.
As a reactor safety engineer for electrical systems, you will be part of a team with a culture characterized by well-being, inclusion, and helpfulness. The group consists of approximately ten people of different genders and ages with varying levels of experience. We can offer you exciting and interesting work with a clear connection between theory and practice.
The position involves reactor safety and its connection to the facility's electrical and control systems. The work tasks consist of, among other things, the following:
Conduct primary radiation safety reviews, which are done when there are changes in design or documentation to ensure maintained or improved radiation safety.
Ensure that radiation safety documentation within the area meets current requirements through creation and revision due to new requirements, identified errors, environmental monitoring, or other gained experience.
Work with facility design in connection with facility changes, either as the executor or, if needed, as the leader of a temporarily assembled group to develop relevant facility requirements.
Provide support on reactor safety issues. This is often done in the form of documented assessments and opinions supporting Forsmark's operations management or other parts of the organization.
Requirements Specification
We would like to see that you have
Relevant engineering education in combination with professional experience in the field, or that you have built equivalent technical competence through work experience in nuclear power, for example, through work in operations, maintenance, or design.
Good knowledge of Swedish and English. This is required as an important part of the work is reading and writing reports in Swedish as well as reading and applying international guides and standards.
It is meritorious if you have good facility knowledge and also experience in nuclear power technology, reactor safety, requirements management, or safety documentation, preferably in areas such as automation or electrical power.
To succeed and thrive in the role with us, you need to have well-developed technical judgment, work in a structured manner, and take responsibility for driving issues to completion. You are accustomed to collaborating with different parts of the organization and formulating clear, well-founded technical assessments.
