At Ramdalsskolan, you'll have the opportunity to work together with six other special education teachers and special needs educators supporting our student groups. You will be responsible for one of the grade levels. Your role includes teaching, documentation, mentoring educators, and communicating with guardians. You will also participate in planning, implementing, and developing pedagogical work based on the school's governing documents and each student's needs and interests, both individually and as part of the teaching team you belong to. You actively participate in the school's development and analysis work and collaborate with other school staff to create a good learning and working environment for both students and staff. QUALIFICATIONS You are a licensed special education teacher and/or special needs educator. You are well familiar with the school's governing documents. You have a relational approach to your work. You are solution-focused and have a positive attitude toward school development, and you understand the importance of teaching being creative and stimulating while grounded in research and proven methods. You share our belief that we as a school exist for the student, which means we must adapt to each individual student's circumstances, interests, and needs. You see the positive in each individual and are convinced that everyone has the ability to learn and that your conduct as a special education teacher is one of the most important factors in students' success. Great weight will be placed on your personal qualities, work capacity, initiative, responsibility, and collaborative skills. We are seeking someone with a special education teacher or special needs educator degree with foundational training as an elementary school teacher. You have strong knowledge of and experience in teaching literacy and numeracy development. You are well versed in the school's governing documents and are prepared to work flexibly according to the goals, guidelines, and needs of the organization. Working methods and approaches should be grounded in current research in these areas. You are flexible, organized, and thorough. You are independent with a strong ability to build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You think proactively and preventively, enjoy sharing your knowledge, and have strong collaborative skills. We place great importance on personal suitability. The position is aimed at the lower and middle grades and you will be part of the school's student support team. You will work in close collaboration with the school's six other special education teachers/special needs educators. It is advantageous if you have experience mentoring teachers. Employment Type: Permanent position. The position is filled contingent on it not being needed for already employed personnel or if the recruitment conditions change.
