We are now seeking future psychologists - you are warmly welcome to apply for our popular PTP program! About the Program Region Västmanland's PTP program offers you high-quality clinical training. In addition to your base placement as a PTP psychologist, you will gain knowledge of other activities and the psychologist's role and function. You will participate in seminars, study visits, and collegium meetings together with other PTP psychologists and have excellent opportunities for experience exchange within the network. We have a designated study director who is responsible for the program and maintains continuous contact with the PTP psychologists. For the spring term 2027, you may be offered a position within the following activities: Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) Västerås with a combination of work at the BUP Start unit in Västerås Habilitation Center in Köping Here's what two of our PTP psychologists say about the program: "The PTP program and also many managers within the region encourage a gradual start where you actually have time to learn and develop in a way that feels fun! Qualifications You must have a Swedish psychology degree at the start of your PTP or have received a decision from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) to conduct your practical training. If you have a decision from the National Board of Health and Welfare, it must be attached to your application. We are looking for someone who wants to start their professional career with an interesting PTP program and a training position where you receive supervision from experienced psychologists. The Competence Package Includes Activity-specific course Participation in a national/Nordic congress Observation within primary care, habilitation, child and adolescent psychiatry, adult psychiatry, or forensic psychiatry (total of five days) Opportunity to attend supervisor training in year 2 Personal follow-up by an experienced psychologist.
