Description Unit BUP Serious Norm-Breaking Behavior (BUP-ANB) is a new regional unit launching in 2026. The operation is based on the government assignment "Integrated Care Project" which ran from 2021–2024 and has now been further developed into a regular regional operation. The assignment is to provide specialist psychiatric care to community-placed children and young people up to 21 years of age with serious norm-breaking behavior and concurrent psychiatric care needs, when care does not work in ordinary outpatient forms. The unit will be built up with four mobile interprofessional teams consisting of doctors, psychologists, social workers, nurses, occupational therapists, and healthcare administrators. The unit will consist of approximately 25 employees. The target group is children and young people with extensive and complex psychiatric and social comorbidity where difficulties are often long-lasting and closely intertwined. Many have experienced previous care breakdowns and multiple placements, serious mental health problems such as self-harm, trauma, or behavioral disorders. The service area covers all of VGR, and as a first step the unit will focus on placed young people in SiS homes in the region. Placed children and young people in HVB homes and within the Correctional Service are also planned to be included in the assignment. The unit will be organizationally placed within the Neurology and Psychiatry for Children service at Sahlgrenska University Hospital, within the section BUP 24-Hour Care and Specialist Clinics. The unit will be a mobile service to meet the young person where they are. Since it is a complex target group the service addresses, clinical work will be carried out on a team basis and you will work closely with other professionals in the same team. Responsibilities As a psychologist in BUP-ANB you work in an interprofessional team and close to the child's everyday environment. Your responsibilities include: performing psychiatric diagnostic assessments and investigations conducting individualized psychological treatment participating in joint care planning and coordination with other actors supervising and consulting SiS staff, school personnel, and other professionals regarding approach and adaptations in daily life contributing to increased knowledge and understanding of psychiatric conditions in the environments where the child spends time Qualifications We are looking for someone with a psychology degree and licensure as a psychologist. You have experience working in child and adolescent psychiatry or other activities with children and young people with complex issues. You have good collaboration skills and thrive in interprofessional settings, as teamwork is a central part of the assignment. You are flexible, take responsibility, and have good communication skills when interacting with both patients and colleagues. We also see that you have the ability to work independently while actively contributing to the team's collective work. You are also driven by the opportunity to be part of starting up and shaping a new regional unit. It is advantageous if you have experience with: work with placed children and young people forensic psychology, trauma, NPF, or self-harm behavior supervision, training, or consultative services development or startup work You have a good ability to work in teams and interprofessional settings, as teamwork is a central part of the assignment.
