Your Workplace The Clinic for Emotional Instability is a specialist outpatient clinic within psychiatric care. We serve patients throughout the Värmland region. Our team includes physicians, nurses, psychologists, social workers, and administrative staff. We are a well-functioning DBT team with all components of DBT. We offer individual therapy, group skills training, and 24-hour phone consultation. In addition to therapy work, we focus on work rehabilitation and quality psychiatric medical care. The team continuously works to improve as a team and to support each other in becoming better therapists. Your Responsibilities As a psychologist in the DBT team, you will primarily work with individual therapy, group skills training, and phone consultation. When needed, you will conduct other psychiatric treatments and assessments. The clinic also has a consultative role regarding emotional instability and provides education, supervision, and other consultative services as appropriate. As a psychologist at the clinic, you should have training in DBT. If you are not already a trained DBT therapist, you will advantageously complete the training in fall 2026, which will be funded by the region. Your Knowledge and Competencies We are looking for a licensed psychologist with experience working in psychiatric care. Meritorious qualifications include experience working in a DBT team, as well as experience with individuals with emotional instability and/or self-harm behavior. Since certain work with this patient group involves trauma-focused treatments, experience in this area is a merit. We are looking for someone who is confident in themselves and takes responsibility for their work. You work independently, drive your tasks forward, and have the ability to make your own decisions. You are flexible and adapt easily when circumstances or priorities change. Even during periods of high work pace or complex tasks, you maintain focus and work in a structured manner. You find it easy to create and develop good relationships and contribute to good collaboration through attentive and respectful communication.
