About Us Habilitation Center Stockholm Adults is a specialist clinic that is part of the Rehabilitation & Health operations. We provide services to people over 18 years old with congenital or early-onset functional disabilities that cause difficulties in daily life, such as autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, or mobility impairment. By providing advice, support, and treatment to patients and their networks, we can prevent and reduce difficulties that a functional disability may cause. You will work in an interdisciplinary team with occupational therapists, psychologists, social workers, physical therapists, and speech-language pathologists. Our goal is to create the best possible conditions for a functioning and meaningful everyday life. About the Position As a psychologist, you are responsible for the psychological perspective in close collaboration with other professions in the unit. Your work includes: Working to provide patients and their surroundings with increased knowledge about the functional disability and its consequences, and teaching strategies for managing difficulties. A consultative and advisory role to the patient and their immediate environment, both individually and in close collaboration with other professions in our unit. Treatment work individually and/or in groups. Leading groups and giving lectures based on your professional expertise. With us, you will have stimulating and enjoyable work. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist, preferably with experience in rehabilitation services. Great weight is placed on personal suitability. You have a strong interest in people with functional disabilities. You are driven by the desire to understand patients who require adaptations in working methods and perspective-taking, and who require you to create individual solutions based on the patient's circumstances. The overarching goal is that the patient should have as good a daily life as possible. You are interested in development, both of your clinical work and of our collective work. You enjoy working independently as well as in a team and take personal responsibility for planning, developing, and advancing patient work in a structured manner based on our methods. For patient-facing work within Stockholm County Health Care Area: - a background check will be applied before a hiring decision according to SLSO's overall guidelines for background checks in hiring. - employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employee health examination, according to current directives, which takes place through occupational health services before employment. - in addition to Swedish professional licensure, good knowledge of the Swedish language is required, equivalent to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
