About the Role Do you want to be part of our Child Health unit? Do you want to make a real difference for our children? We are now seeking a licensed psychologist who is eager to work in a supportive capacity to develop preschool operations, currently positioned in the Child Health unit, Hisingen District. This is a full-time (100%) temporary position for one year. The Child Health support team consists of psychologists, special education teachers, and speech-language pathologists who all work on assignment from the preschool principal and are led by the Child Health unit manager. The support team is tasked with assisting preschool teachers, principals, and operations managers in leading and developing child health initiatives in preschools. As a psychologist in the Child Health support team, you will work in a supportive capacity at the group and organizational level, primarily with principals and staff teams in preschools; this is a creative and organizational development role. The position also includes competency development activities such as supervision/consultation, workshops, and lectures based on current research in educational psychology, developmental psychology, and group and organizational psychology. The psychologist in Child Health provides specialized knowledge about children's psychological development and health, staff team development, group and organizational psychological aspects of operations, and crisis support. The psychologist in the preschool does not perform tasks governed by the Health and Medical Services Act. You will also be part of a shared network with other psychologists in the preschool administration. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is a licensed psychologist and has experience providing supervision and/or consultation to staff teams and managers. It is advantageous if you have experience with preschool operations and have worked in a preventive and health-promoting capacity within your profession. To succeed in this role as a psychologist in the preschool administration, you should have a strong ability to translate theory into practice and the capacity to efficiently identify and analyze the core of a problem. As a psychologist in the Child Health support team, you should be able to see connections and draw logical conclusions from limited and/or complex information. The role requires independence and flexibility; you act on your own initiative based on what the situation requires within the scope of your assignment. It is also essential that you have the ability to explain complex situations from different perspectives in an educational manner. As a person, you are outgoing, have strong collaboration skills, and excel at building relationships. The preschool administration should be characterized by openness and respect for diversity, and we believe that diversity contributes to the development of our operations.
