The role focuses on primary and lower secondary school (grades F-9). The position is within the Pre- and Primary School Administration's central Student Health Services Unit, which includes approximately 30 employees from various professional groups including special educators, school counselors, school psychologists, school nurses, and school physicians. The unit operates partly at the Student Health Services office in central Mora in the same building as Mora Family Center, and partly at our pre- and primary schools, and to some extent also at the secondary school as they purchase certain services from us. We currently have one school psychologist employed. We offer you collegial support including professional meetings with an experienced colleague and external supervision together with a colleague. You work daytime hours on weekdays and have the opportunity to influence your working hours within certain limits; certain administrative tasks can be done remotely in agreement with your manager. You receive a wellness allowance of 1200 kr/year. Job Responsibilities The psychologist in the school has an important role in student health promotion and prevention efforts and works to support students' development toward educational goals and promote students' mental health. The school psychologists in the central Student Health Services Unit work with a focus on organizational, group, and individual levels. Your tasks include being part of the schools' student health teams (EHT) and the Student Health Services Unit's resource team where your expertise complements other professional roles. You will provide consultation and supervision individually or in groups to school staff and conduct assessments and evaluations. As a psychologist in the school, you will contribute to the overall student health work through your professional expertise and competence. Qualifications You must have a degree in psychology. Experience in the profession and from working in school activities is meritorious. You must have the ability to build trusting relationships with students, guardians, principals, school staff, colleagues, and external partners as collaboration is a major part of the work. You should contribute to student health work with your professional expertise and have the ability to work in cross-professional teams. You are communicative with a customer- and citizen-oriented approach. You can also structure your own work and have the ability to work independently where you manage your own agenda and take responsibility for completing your tasks. You are flexible, have a positive attitude, are solution-focused, and development-oriented. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
