Psychologist for Child Rehabilitation – Hourly Position
At Bräcke Children and Youth Residential Home Östergården, ten children and young people with various disabilities and individual needs live and receive care. We have our own rehabilitation team that works closely with the children and the staff around them every day. We are now looking for a psychologist who wants to contribute their expertise when a psychological perspective is needed. This is an hourly position, planned well in advance with you, and can be combined with other work. Your Role in the Team As a psychologist, you help us understand the child better. This can involve creating a clearer picture of the child's cognitive abilities and well-being, or conducting assessments when needed. Your knowledge also supports the rehabilitation team and residential staff in their work with the child. Through supervision and knowledge support, you can contribute to a better understanding of the child's behavior and how support can be adapted. The assignments are clearly defined and planned in advance. When a new child arrives or a greater need emerges, you will have time to familiarize yourself with the situation, get to know the child, and choose working methods based on the child's circumstances. With Us at Bräcke Rehabilitation Östergården The rehabilitation team is located where the children live. This gives you access to the knowledge about the child that exists in daily life and allows you to contribute your perspective as part of the whole picture. You work together with an occupational therapist, physiotherapist, speech-language pathologist, physician, nurse, and dietitian. Near the children are also support educators and residential staff who know them well. As part of Bräcke Diakoni, you also become part of a larger professional community, with opportunities for collegial support from psychologists in other operations. We are a mission-driven foundation where employees' knowledge and ideas help develop our work. Any surplus is reinvested into our services so we can do more where people need us. Who We Are Looking For We are looking for you—a licensed psychologist with experience working with children. In this role, you need to be confident in assessment and evaluation, and able to adapt working methods and approaches based on the child's circumstances. You thrive working independently within your profession, while also being part of a team and making your knowledge useful to others. Experience as a child psychologist or in rehabilitation, intellectual disability, neurodevelopmental disorders, or multiple disabilities is a plus. We welcome your application!
