The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic within the Psychiatry Center has a mandate serving children aged 0 to 18 years. The clinic's overarching goal is to assess, diagnose, treat, and prevent mental illness that hinders personal functioning, development, and maturation. Core operations consist of outpatient, intermediate, and inpatient care as well as several specialized units such as the trauma unit Elefanten, parent and infant services Hagadal, and Barnahus.

Job Description
As a psychologist at the BUP outpatient unit, the basic work tasks include assessment, evaluation, and treatment work with children and adolescents with various types of psychiatric conditions. One of the unit's teams works with new patient assessments and evaluations while others work with treatment and evaluation. Another important part of the work is to collaborate with care partners and the network around the child/adolescent. Common to all is that everyone works in interdisciplinary teams, evidence-based, and follows national guidelines within our field. We work together to continuously develop our operations through knowledge and method development. We view with interest those seeking further education in psychotherapy or specialization.
We are now seeking a licensed psychologist for the intake assessment team and one of the treatment teams. We can offer both permanent employment and temporary contracts, as a couple of our psychologists will be participating in a research project over an extended period. For the assessment team, we seek someone interested in working broadly with psychiatric assessments and diagnostics through brief contacts. You will work closely with experienced colleagues in a tight team. You will also be part of the unit's acute mission, which involves receiving children in need of acute psychiatric assessment during daytime hours. The acute mission involves varying days where you work closely with an experienced specialist physician and meet families who are in crisis in various ways.
For the treatment teams, we seek someone interested in treatment and evaluation work with children and families at specialist level. This includes a range of interventions such as group treatments, individual sessions, telephone counseling, and collaboration with care partners and other external services.
About You
We seek a licensed psychologist. Specialist training or psychotherapeutic further education in CBT and DBT is a merit, as is experience of treatment work with children, adolescents, and families. Experience with assessment, diagnosis, and evaluation work is also a merit.
Curiosity about the assignment and target group is important, as well as a good ability to work both independently and in a team. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
