We are now seeking a psychologist for a permanent position where the assignment is divided between 50 percent work at school within the Bergums education area and 50 percent as a Psychologist with Management Responsibility (PLA). Job Responsibilities Are you a licensed psychologist wanting to work at school to develop students' learning environment and support progress toward the school's mission, as well as take overall responsibility for patient safety and professional development? We are now seeking an engaged school psychologist and PLA (Psychologist with Management Responsibility) who wants to drive our work forward in close collaboration with schools, principals, operations managers, and development leaders. Your direct supervisor will be the Student Health Chief. The role as school psychologist involves working preventively and promoting health, aiming to support students' development toward educational goals. As a school psychologist, you contribute psychological expertise to support pedagogical work and overall student health. You conduct psychological assessments, evaluations, and observations to map students' strengths and difficulties, and propose appropriate adjustments to the school environment. The role also includes supervision and consultation to educators in matters requiring psychological expertise. You support students, guardians, and staff through conversations, consultation, and knowledge about mental health, neurodevelopmental disabilities, and giftedness. Additionally, you provide support to school leadership regarding organization, resources, groups, and management of student matters. The role as PLA involves supporting the operations manager and the HSL development leader in systematic quality work related to health and medical care legislation and patient safety work. The PLA collaborates with the principal and student health chief regarding the school psychologist's assignment at school and within the department, for example by supporting recruitment, student work at school, and implementation of self-inspections and deviation management. Collaborates with the student health chief and professional development coordinator for psychologists and others within central student health regarding professional development and support to schools and psychologists at school. The assignment includes environmental analysis and ensuring that operations are consistent with research and established practice, as well as participating in collaboration with other departments and authorities. Central Student Health Is tasked with supporting schools in developing their operations so that all students meet school knowledge requirements and have a sense of security and study focus in their schooling. Central Student Health consists of student health professions and works to ensure that procedures and collaboration within the education area function well. Qualifications We are seeking someone who is a licensed psychologist with experience working as a psychologist in school and with psychological management responsibility matters. Experience working with supervision, consultation, assessments and evaluations is also an asset. You have the ability to listen to other people and the ability to build trusting relationships. You show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You are pedagogical and enjoy supervising and supporting others in their professional practice. You are analytical and structured, identify development needs, and implement them in an organized and straightforward manner.
