The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic is a regional clinic with reception units in Umeå, Lycksele, and Skellefteå. The regional clinic also includes a BUP inpatient ward located in Umeå. BUP Västerbotten is a USVE unit with close collaboration with university and research. Within the clinic, we work in interdisciplinary teams and collaborate closely with the patient's family and broader network. The Lycksele reception unit is temporarily located at Lycksele Hospital while awaiting a comprehensive renovation of existing facilities that will be adapted to the clinic's needs upon move-in. In recent years, the Lycksele reception unit has expanded. We now have three permanent physicians who provide continuity. We have also expanded positions for nurses and social workers. We have access to an occupational therapist and dietitian and are in the process of recruiting our own physical therapist. Several medical secretaries also work with us, serving as the hub of our operations. Currently, we have two psychologist positions at the reception unit and an established collaboration with the psychology group at the regional level. We appreciate your interest in research, development work, and evidence-based practice. You are communicative, organized, and have strong collaboration skills. DUTIES As a psychologist with us, you contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better. The psychologist role at BUP involves independently and as part of a team conducting assessments and treating children and adolescents requiring treatment at a specialized child psychiatric level. In your work, you meet and treat children and adolescents with serious psychiatric conditions. As a psychologist, you work with evidence-based methods according to current guidelines. You independently plan, implement, and evaluate your treatment interventions. You also participate in teamwork and collaboration with colleagues when needed. Work with us also involves consulting and collaborating with schools, preschools, social services, and other clinics within healthcare. Work that enables and creates conditions for viewing the patient from a holistic perspective. As we are a regional clinic, travel to other units may occur. QUALIFICATIONS We appreciate your experience working with children and adolescents as well as experience working in psychiatry. Experience with assessment, treatment, and evaluation is a merit. You have an interest in working in a structured and evidence-based manner. You are a confident and organized person with a professional approach. You are responsible and adapt easily to changing circumstances. Since we work extensively in teams, we value that you enjoy collaboration and being present for both colleagues and patients.
