At the psychiatric outpatient clinic, psychologists, nurses, care assistants, occupational therapists, rehabilitation coordinators, social workers, physicians, and medical secretaries work together. Together we are about 40 employees, of which eleven are nurses. The clinic provides specialized-level services where all psychiatric conditions such as affective disorders, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, anxiety disorders, and ADHD are treated. We serve three municipalities; Sandviken, Hofors, Ockelbo and include approximately 55,000 residents. We are now seeking two psychiatric nurses for our clinic in Sandviken. JOB DUTIES We work in multidisciplinary teams where two teams work with general psychiatric patients, one team works with ADHD/ADD, and one team conducts diagnostic assessments. As a psychiatric nurse at our clinic, you will work in one of our multidisciplinary treatment teams with a focus on psychiatric care where factors and interventions related to physical and mental health are central. The clinic is relatively large, which offers good opportunities to tailor work tasks based on specific competencies. The work largely involves collaboration with other actors such as inpatient care, relatives, the Social Insurance Agency, municipalities, and primary care to create the best conditions for quality patient care. Work takes place at the clinic and through home visits when needed. As part of your role, you may together with colleagues conduct appreciated information meetings for groups of patients and relatives, so-called psychoeducational interventions (PPI), which the clinic offers targeted to several psychiatric groups. The work requires both the ability to work independently as well as with other professional categories. We would like to see that you are accustomed to planning, prioritizing, and making your own decisions in your daily work. Of course, we believe you have a strong interest in the target group and want to help develop the work at our clinic. In your role as a psychiatric nurse, you should • be a licensed nurse with specialist training in psychiatry. For this position, it is an advantage if you have experience working in psychiatry.
