We are now seeking an engaged unit manager with previous management experience in healthcare. You want to contribute to offering care of the highest quality and safety from the patient's perspective by creating conditions for the department's staff so they can perform their work in the best possible way. About the Department Department 161 is a general psychiatric care unit with a focus on bipolar disorder. The department has a total of 17 care beds, one of which is for voluntary admission. Patients are admitted 24/7. In addition to patients with bipolar disorder, the department also cares for patients with diagnoses such as depression and other affective disorders, severe anxiety conditions, personality syndromes, various neuropsychiatric diagnoses, and suicidality. At department 161, an engaged and competent work group is employed, several of whom have worked at the department for many years. Staff actively work to create a pleasant and good care environment to promote patient recovery. Work takes place in a well-developed interprofessional collaboration between nurses, doctors, healthcare assistants, occupational therapist, and social worker. The department will implement SafeWards. The department is located high up with great natural light and a view over Edsviken. Job Responsibilities As unit manager, your overall role is to lead, monitor, and develop the operations together with your staff, primarily healthcare assistants and nurses. You are responsible for the department's balanced budget, personnel, work environment, environment, and patient safety. The latter in close collaboration with the department's senior physician who is the medically responsible physician. Daily work on personnel planning occurs in close collaboration with the assistant unit manager who also handles much of the administration at the department. Your role is to lead and coach the department's staff so that they in turn have the opportunity to perform their work in the best possible way. Qualifications Registered nurse and specialist education in psychiatry are meriting. Experience in management and leadership, preferably with training in the field, is desirable. You are a person who is comfortable with overall responsibility and have both an interest in and knowledge of personnel matters and economy. You have good collaboration skills with other unit managers both within 24-hour care and within the outpatient care section.
