Jelgavas Municipality announces a competition for the position of Psychologist in the Support Department of the Jelgavas Municipality Social Affairs Administration. Main job duties: provide support to children, adults, and families in crisis situations, following violence, suicide risk, accidents, loss of loved ones, or other traumatic events; provide individual consultations to people facing violence, loss, depression, or anxiety symptoms; conduct psychological assessments of clients within the scope of professional competence; prepare opinions, recommendations, and other documentation related to professional activities; provide psychological consultations to social service clients or apply other psychological assistance methods to help restore these individuals' social functioning abilities; cooperate with social workers and specialists from other institutions as needed; conduct group sessions and lectures on stress management, emotional resilience, conflict resolution, parenting skills, and healthy relationships, etc.; provide support to social service specialists – consultations on complex case analysis, reducing burnout risk, and strengthening team collaboration. Requirements for applicants: higher education in psychology in accordance with the requirements of the Psychologists Law; at least 2 years of professional work experience as a psychologist (desired); state language proficiency at the highest level in accordance with the State Language Law requirements; ability to work with diverse client groups; ability to apply regulatory acts; good skills in working with MS Office programs; ability to take responsibility; communication skills; Category B driver's license (desired).
