Understands suicide prevention principles and the specifics of nursing care for patients with suicidal behavior; provides patients with consultations and recommendations on mental health nursing matters; identifies mental health nursing needs, applies appropriate mental health nursing interventions, and predicts mental health nursing outcomes; completes mental health nursing documentation and provides statistical and other mandatory reporting data in accordance with the procedures established by the legislation of the Republic of Lithuania; prepares and arranges the workplace according to aseptic and antiseptic requirements; timely and properly performs diagnostic procedures prescribed by the physician (measures blood pressure, temperature, patient height and weight, records ECG, etc.); timely informs the physician of changes in the patient's health status, complications, adverse effects of medications or other deterioration in health; provides emergency medical care within competence, following the 'List of pharmaceutical preparations that a general practice nurse may independently prescribe when providing medication assistance in emergency medical care cases'; independently prescribes pharmaceutical preparations; collaborates with the mental health care specialist team (medical psychologist, social worker, psychiatrist) and employees of other departments; plans and informs the health care administrator about medication reserves and needs; participates in the health care of patients receiving substitute maintenance therapy (dispenses physician-prescribed methadone doses and monitors their consumption, records this in medical documents, maintains methadone records, performs narcotics testing); uses and works with e-health service information systems, timely and properly enters data assigned to the nurse's competence into these information systems; performs other non-continuous nature health care tasks as assigned by the health care administrator, nursing administrator
