You will be part of the Regional Development Northern Sweden unit, part of the EU Investments and National Support department at Tillväxtverket. We are an engaged team of project advisors and a couple of program managers driving the work with the EU's regional fund program in northern Sweden. We work data-driven, with great responsibility and close collaboration with both local and national actors.
Your placement is in Luleå. You will work with issues primarily concerning Norrbotten, Västerbotten, Jämtland, and Västernorrland. Travel is part of the position.
About the position
As a project advisor for the EU Regional Fund, you will help determine how public funds are invested – in innovation, green transition, digitalization, and stronger businesses. You will have a varied and analytical role where you follow projects from idea to results. At the same time, you build knowledge about the regions' needs and work with assessments that require a strong ability to interpret legal regulations, analyze financial documents, and contribute to smart, sustainable solutions. You will contribute to Tillväxtverket's efforts to strengthen regional competitiveness and sustainable development.
The role includes work with information, mobilization, advice, monitoring, results dissemination and communication, as well as processing project applications within regional structural fund programs.

We are looking for someone with:
A degree from a university or college in social sciences/economics/law or another field that Tillväxtverket considers relevant for the position
Experience with administrative work in the public sector or with the EU's structural fund programs. Alternatively, experience with regional development work.
Established networks and/or good knowledge of the region's development organizations and growth-promoting actors
Experience working with financial and legal documents
Very strong ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish, with a focus on making complex information accessible
The following are merits:
Experience with Nyps2020 (case management system)
Experience with regional innovation or business development matters
Experience with green transition (environmental and climate issues)
Good knowledge of state aid regulations
Good knowledge of renewable energy, smart energy systems, and circular economy
Extended professional experience focused on EU structural fund programs or regional development work in one of the four northernmost counties
Class B driver's license
