Job Description AFRY has a solid history in the energy sector, and in Division Energy we focus on offering our customers all services within energy production and distribution. In Sweden, we have approximately 600 dedicated employees in the energy field, and we aim to grow even further. Our business unit Transmission & Distribution has a vision to create electrical grid solutions for a sustainable future and currently employs approximately 180 consultants with high specialist expertise across all areas of the electrical grid industry. In the role as an electrical engineer, we offer you exciting and developing tasks in a highly skilled and pleasant team. Together, we have broad and deep expertise in electrical engineering that enables us to help both our customers and each other to succeed and develop. We experience a strong need for our services and have many interesting projects underway. This role is aimed at you who already have practical professional experience in electrical engineering and have had time to establish yourself in your profession. Primarily, we are looking for you who want to work with design or engineering in electrical power, with a focus on high voltage, which forms the main emphasis of the role. Depending on your background, experience, and interests, there are also good opportunities to expand your tasks toward adjacent areas, such as investigations, design, testing/commissioning, and inspections, for parts of the time. You also have the opportunity to influence your role and develop within the areas of electrical engineering that interest you most! We are recruiting several new employees with relevant experience in electrical engineering as we expand our unit and continue to develop our business. Work location can be flexible with the right qualifications, but it would be helpful if you have proximity to one of our offices in Malmö, Lund, Halmstad, Helsingborg, or Hässleholm – please indicate in your application which location works best for you. Must-have requirements: Several years of professional experience with design or engineering of transformer stations, switchgear, and/or associated control systems, with a focus on high voltage. Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as the role involves working with technical documentation, safety-critical materials, and frequent communication with colleagues and customers in Swedish. Good knowledge of English is required, primarily in the form of reading comprehension, as technical documentation, standards, and materials are often in English.
