About the Position
As an engineer, you work according to and follow Uppsala Vatten's internal project process. You are responsible for carrying out engineering for planned renewal or expansion of the water and sewage network. Work tasks include, among others:
• Prepare documents according to project instructions and technical handbook
• Prepare project plans
• Handle deviations/change requests
• Calculate dimensions of water and sewage facilities
• Draw/design in CAD
• Inspection via Ledningskollen
• If needed, engage contractors/services from framework agreements
• Participate during production for revision of documents
• Write final reports and archive documents according to procedures
• Internal and external contacts, e.g., with municipality, property owners, and authorities
As an engineer, you have a broad role where you get significant responsibility for complex projects within planned renewal and expansion of the water and sewage network.
You will be part of our engineering group consisting of eight employees who work with engineering and construction management. The group has good cohesion and camaraderie. You report to the group manager and work in our newly renovated offices at Uppsala Business Park, with the possibility of remote work.
Qualifications
• Education in engineering or equivalent education
• Around three years of work experience as a distribution network engineer
• Experience with CAD, AutoCAD, and Novapoint
• Training in BAS P is a merit
• Experience with ABK09 and AB04 is a merit

Other Information
A large part of our operations is classified as critical infrastructure because we supply Sweden's fourth-largest city with drinking water. For this position, a security clearance with background check will be conducted before employment. You should also be prepared to be placed for civil defense duties within the framework of Uppsala Vatten and Avfall's role in total defense. Uppsala Vatten applies a 6-month probationary period.
