Project Mittstråket 2.0 is a project working to develop the Mittbanan between Sundsvall and Storlien. Through investments and studies, the project will contribute to making Mittbanan a fossil-free transport corridor with increased capacity, improved accessibility, shorter travel times, redundancy, and enhanced safety.
Project Mittstråket 2.0 runs until October 31, 2027 and has a budget of just over 300 million kronor. Project Mittstråket 2.0 is a collaboration project between Region Jämtland Härjedalen, Trafikverket, and Krokoms municipality, financed by the EU's regional fund, Region Jämtland Härjedalen, and Region Västernorrland.
Region Jämtland Härjedalen is the project owner, and the project coordinator position for Mittstråket 2.0 is located in the Sustainable Growth department, which is part of Regional Development at Region Jämtland Härjedalen. Region Jämtland Härjedalen is a politically governed organization with regional development responsibility in the county.

WORK DUTIES
The project organization for Mittstråket 2.0 consists of a project economist, a project communicator, a project coordinator, and a project manager. Over the coming years, the project will enter a more intensive phase and needs to strengthen project management with an additional staff member for just over a year ahead.
In your role as project coordinator, you will work in an active capacity as a client for assignments. You will be part of the daily project work and participate in various activities such as planning upcoming activities, holding follow-up meetings with hired consultants, organizing trade shows, learning seminars, workshops, etc.
You will work both independently and in groups and carry out activities together with our partners.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a person with higher education in urban planning and an interest in transport infrastructure. It is an asset if you have worked with railway matters and have experience in strategic urban planning as well as experience organizing events and trade shows.
For us, it is important that you thrive with a varied workday and that you can handle changes. We also want you to enjoy working in a group, have the ability to collaborate easily with internal and external stakeholders, have drive, and can work independently. It is of great importance that you can express yourself well in speech and writing.
