JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Ronneby School of Culture is seeking a project manager who is also an active and confident musician, to start up a rehearsal space and ensemble activities in close collaboration with the municipality's youth centers.
About the assignment
We are starting a development project with the aim of establishing a fully equipped rehearsal space and an open music activity for young people aged 12-19.
This should be a place where it is easy to get started, rehearse, start bands, write music and develop together. The activities are aimed at both our existing students and young people who have not yet discovered the school of culture.
You will have a central role in shaping the activities together with the young people – both content, working methods and how we reach more people.
As project manager/ensemble leader you will:
• build up and get the rehearsal space activities up and running
• lead and coach bands and groups in practical music-making
• create good conditions for ensemble playing, songwriting and original creation
• plan and conduct rehearsals, workshops and band projects
• work outreach and in close collaboration with youth centers and schools
• give young people influence over how the activities are shaped
• maintain structure, planning and follow-up

• Driver's license and access to own car required
• The position is a fixed-term project employment at 40% for approximately 10 months, with a start date by agreement
• Working hours are mainly scheduled for afternoons and evenings. Weekend work may occur.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who:
• are an active musician with your own experience of playing in a band
• move freely between different genres
• are used to leading or coaching others in musical settings
• have experience working with young people
• have experience running projects or developing activities
As a person you are:
• confident, attentive and good at making contact
• self-driven and make things happen
• like order and structure, but also function when things don't go as planned
• good at collaborating
It is advantageous if you have teaching experience, but you do not need to be a trained teacher.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability, especially your ability to meet young people where they are, both socially and musically.

Salary form: Monthly salary.
Employment form: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 3-6 months, start: The position is a fixed-term project employment at 40% for approximately 10 months, with a start date by agreement.
