The Technology and Real Estate Management division is responsible for Botkyrka Municipality's public buildings and general water and wastewater facilities. The division is also responsible for facility operations, grounds maintenance, cleaning services, and transport and vehicle services. The Position and Your Responsibilities We are seeking a project manager in water and wastewater who wants to lead socially important projects and contribute to sustainable development in Botkyrka Municipality. In this role, you are responsible for planning, leading, and executing water and wastewater projects throughout the entire project process, from investigation and design to completed facility and handover to operations and management. You will lead complex and socially important water and wastewater projects that contribute to sustainable development and a long-term secure water and wastewater supply for Botkyrka's residents. You work in close collaboration with colleagues, consultants, contractors, authorities, and other stakeholders. The role also involves contributing water and wastewater expertise to the municipality's detailed planning processes and land and development projects to ensure future solutions. Your main responsibilities: plan, lead, and monitor water and wastewater projects from investigation to completion be responsible for project timelines, budgets, and quality lead design and procurement of consultants and contractors in accordance with the Public Procurement Act (LOU) coordinate and monitor the project's various stakeholders throughout implementation be responsible for project documentation, occupational health and safety matters, and risk management develop decision-making materials and service statements to political committees. You drive projects through the entire project process and have overall responsibility for project implementation, from investigation and design to completed facility and handover. Together, you are responsible for the municipality's investment projects with an annual project budget of approximately 1.1 billion kronor. You Who Apply to Us You have a university degree or civil engineering degree in civil engineering, road and water, environmental technology, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You have several years of experience independently leading complex water and wastewater or infrastructure projects through the entire project process, from investigation and design to procurement, implementation, and handover to operations and management, with responsibility for timeline, budget, and quality. Other Requirements Experience executing or participating in procurements according to the Public Procurement Act (LOU) or the Procurement Act for Utilities (LUF). Experience applying contract law and standard agreements AB, ABT, and ABK in projects. Experience preparing or reviewing system specifications and construction documents. Experience with financial management and budget monitoring for projects. Experience coordinating work between consultants, contractors, authorities, and other stakeholders in projects. Experience working with Microsoft 365, such as Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Driver's license (category B). We consider it a merit if you have: Experience in project management within public sector operations. Experience with land and development projects. Experience with AMA Construction. As a project manager, you are responsible for driving several complex water and wastewater projects through the entire project process, from investigation and design to completed facility. To succeed in the role, you need to be able to plan, prioritize, and create structure in your work while driving projects forward with focus on quality, timeline, and budget. The role involves many contact points and close collaboration with colleagues, consultants, contractors, authorities, and other stakeholders. Therefore, it is important that you are skilled at building trustworthy relationships and enjoy collaborating to find solutions and create progress in projects.
