The Technology and Property Management Department is responsible for Botkyrka Municipality's public facilities and water and wastewater infrastructure. We develop and manage the municipality's properties and plan and execute investments in both new and existing facilities and water and wastewater systems to meet the municipality's long-term needs. The department is also responsible for facility operations, ground services, cleaning, and transport and vehicle services. With approximately 300 employees, we work for sustainable solutions and well-functioning community services.
The Position and Your Tasks
We are looking for a water and wastewater project manager who wants to lead projects of societal importance and contribute to sustainable development in Botkyrka Municipality. In this role, you are responsible for planning, leading, and executing water and wastewater projects throughout the entire project process, from investigation and design to completed facilities and handover to operations and management.
You will lead complex and socially important water and wastewater projects that contribute to sustainable development and a long-term secure water and wastewater supply for Botkyrka's residents. You work in close collaboration with colleagues, consultants, contractors, authorities, and other stakeholders. The role also involves contributing water and wastewater expertise in the municipality's detailed planning processes as well as land and development projects to ensure future solutions.
Your main responsibilities:
plan, lead, and monitor water and wastewater projects from investigation to completion
responsible for the projects' schedules, budgets, and quality
lead design work and procurement of consultants and contractors in accordance with the Public Procurement Act (LOU)
coordinate and monitor the project's various stakeholders throughout implementation
responsible for project documentation, occupational health and safety matters, and risk management
prepare decision materials and management reports for political committees.
You drive projects through the entire project process and have overall responsibility for project implementation, from investigation and design to completed facilities and handover. The role gives you great opportunity to influence how future water and wastewater solutions are developed and implemented in Botkyrka Municipality.
What We Offer You
You will become part of a project team consisting of approximately 20 employees with expertise in property and water and wastewater projects. Together, you are responsible for the municipality's investment projects with an annual project budget of approximately 1.1 billion kronor. Here you work closely with colleagues with various specialist competencies and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to advance projects.

You as an Applicant
You hold a college or engineering degree in civil engineering, road and water, environmental engineering, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You have several years of experience independently leading complex water and wastewater or infrastructure projects through the entire project process, from investigation and design to procurement, implementation, and handover to operations and management, with responsibility for schedule, budget, and quality.
Other Requirements
Experience in conducting or participating in procurements according to the Public Procurement Act (LOU) or the Public Procurement Act within the utilities sector (LUF).
Experience in applying contractor law and standard contracts AB, ABT, and ABK in projects.
Experience in preparing or reviewing system specifications and construction documents.
Experience in financial management and monitoring of project budgets.
Experience in coordinating work between consultants, contractors, authorities, and other stakeholders within projects.
Experience working in Microsoft 365, for example Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Valid driver's license (B category).

Experience in project management within public organizations.

Experience with AMA Construction.
