The Project Office at W5 Solutions is continuing to grow. We are now seeking two senior project managers who want to take responsibility for technically advanced projects. Depending on your experience, you may lead several smaller development projects or be responsible for larger, business-driven projects with international end customers. W5 Solutions develops and delivers advanced systems within power supply and simulation to customers in the defense and government sectors. Virtually all of our projects are customer-unique and based on the customer's needs. Every delivery must work in practice, in reality, and over time. "We have recently welcomed a new colleague and are now seeking two additional project managers. We have many projects underway and more coming in. Therefore, we are strengthening the organization with technically skilled project managers who enjoy driving and leading an engaged team while maintaining close dialogue with the customer. Your Future Challenge Within Power, approximately 130 employees work, where development, production, testing, and final delivery are located close to each other. This creates short decision paths but also demands clear leadership in projects. As a senior project manager, you are responsible for the implementation of customer projects in areas such as power plants, battery and charging systems, and simulator solutions. The scope of assignments varies. You can drive several smaller product development projects in parallel or lead a larger project with extensive commercial responsibility with international end customers. Regardless of project size, you lead cross-functional teams with expertise in mechanics, electrical, electronics, software, testing, technical documentation, production technology, and procurement. You create momentum, handle technical and commercial issues, and ensure that the team has the right conditions to reach the project's goals. "You need to be able to move between details and the big picture. One moment you're discussing a technical solution with the engineers, the next you're reviewing finances, risks, or delivery with the customer. You hold the project together and ensure that decisions are made and activities are carried out," Niklas continues. Full Responsibility from Start to Delivery The role involves clear commercial responsibility. You actively work with budget monitoring, forecasts, and margins. At the same time, you are a natural coordinator internally, the one who creates structure, prioritizes, and keeps everything together as complexity increases. "At W5, you work close to development and need to have the ability to understand technical issues, dialogue with engineers and specialists, and actively drive solutions forward. Examples of Work Tasks: Lead and implement technically advanced customer projects from start to finish. Ensure that projects are delivered according to requirements, schedule, and quality. Handle budget, forecasts, resources, and financial monitoring. Lead cross-functional teams within development, procurement, production, and testing. Identify and manage technical, commercial, and operational risks. Create momentum through clear priorities, decisions, and follow-up. Contribute to the development of project methodology, processes, and working methods. Maintain close and professional dialogue with customers and other stakeholders. We are looking for someone who has: Several years of experience leading technical projects in a manufacturing or technology-oriented business. Experience taking overall responsibility for delivery, finances, and customer relations. Post-secondary education in electrical, electronics, mechanics, or equivalent. Very good ability to communicate in Swedish and English. Class B driver's license, as business travel may occur. It is advantageous if you have experience from the defense industry or work with complex systems, for example containing advanced electrical and electronics solutions.
