About Us The Urban Environment Division at the Technical Administration is responsible for the management and development of Solna Municipality's squares, parks, natural areas, streets and roads. We work to ensure that Solna has a clean, attractive and safe urban environment with good and secure accessibility. With the city's growing population and developing tourism industry, public spaces become increasingly important. There is a strong focus on the city's children and young people, and the urban environment plays a crucial role here. This places high demands on the Technical Administration's deliverables. The Urban Environment Division organizes its activities within three units: parks and land, streets, traffic and permits, and urban environment projects. The project manager role is part of the urban environment projects unit but the work is carried out through broad collaboration across the city. The Technical Administration is now seeking a project manager for the Urban Environment Division. As a project manager in the division, you are responsible for planning and implementing investment projects in the urban environment, both in streets and parks. Examples of projects include building cycle paths, renovating playgrounds, transforming natural areas, parks and streets. Additional project managers at the administration and well-functioning support functions such as procurement and contract management are available for support. The administration also has an established project model and works with portfolio management. In this role you will lead investment projects and independently oversee contractors' implementation of several parallel construction and infrastructure projects simultaneously by: Ensuring that all project phases are completed from pre-study, design and implementation to final inspection, in accordance with the established budget and timeline and in compliance with current safety, quality and environmental criteria. Internal and external collaboration with actors such as consultants and contractors as well as authorities. Planning and preparing budget proposals for the coming year's investment projects. Contributing to the development of the division's project processes. Actively contributing to procurement work and contract management. Who Are We Looking For? We are looking for someone who has relevant engineering education or other education deemed equivalent by the municipality. experience in independently planning and managing projects involving design, renovation and construction of facilities such as playgrounds, stairs, bridges, pedestrian and cycle paths and stormwater systems. good knowledge of standard documents used in Swedish building codes and building regulations as well as the ability to interpret drawings and understand specifications. good knowledge of AMA Anläggning and MER anläggning as well as contractor law (AB04/ABT06). good knowledge of both Swedish and English in speech and writing as well as computer skills. a driver's license as much of the follow-up work is done in the field It is a merit if you have experience working in a politically governed organization. experience giving presentations to for example steering groups and conducting dialogue with the public Since the role has many contact points both internally and externally, it is important that you can collaborate well with others. You have good communication skills to express yourself in a polished, simple and clear manner. As a person, you understand the importance of good structure and quality. You see opportunities for improvement in the organization and are happy to contribute to further developing your own, the group's and the administration's working methods. Furthermore, you are someone who has good judgment, takes responsibility and is driven by goal and results thinking. You enjoy taking initiative and have a good ability to independently plan and prioritize your daily work in a structured manner.
