The Project Unit under the Sector for Community Development is tasked with implementing construction and infrastructure projects as well as responsibility for local traffic regulations, permit management, and referrals on traffic matters. The unit consists of 16 employees who are project managers, traffic engineers, and an administrator.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The role involves ensuring that the projects you lead as project manager best meet Lerum Municipality's needs within the specified frameworks for time, budget, and quality in accordance with laws, regulations, and governing documents as well as decisions made.
As a project manager, you work according to Lerum Municipality's project model and associated processes and report continuously to project owner and portfolio, as well as to the steering committee when needed.
The job responsibilities vary depending on the project's nature, but include planning, designing, and implementing projects by:
• Acting as client and agent
• Procuring consultants according to applicable framework agreements
• Conducting investigations and pre-studies
• Preparing tender documents for contractor procurement
• Seeking necessary permits
• Establishing and revising project plans, budgets, and timelines
• Steering projects toward set goals regarding time, budget, and quality
• Informing about projects internally
• Participating in various meetings both internal and external
• Project administration (Antura, Platina, Proceedo)
• Final reporting, closure, and handover to client and recipient
As a project manager, you need to stay current in the field through environmental monitoring to be able to suggest development opportunities within the various operational areas.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a degree as a civil engineer or construction engineer and several years of documented work experience in construction and infrastructure as a project manager, site manager, or project engineer.
You must have a valid B driver's license and have documented good knowledge of contractor law.
It is meritorious if you have previously worked in public administration and have good knowledge of LOU, BAS-U, and BAS-P.

You are results and quality conscious and have a holistic perspective in your assignment. You enjoy working both independently and in close collaboration with others within your projects.
