We are now seeking someone who wants to take a key role in developing, analyzing, and leading our facilities planning work into the future. About the Role As a project manager for facilities planning, you will have a comprehensive and developmental assignment where you work closely with the property manager, cemetery manager, and properties committee. This is a fixed-term position with a clear strategic focus and significant opportunity to make an impact. You will be a driving force in advancing and coordinating the parish's long-term facilities planning process, as well as mapping and analyzing current facilities and future needs. Your task is also to develop clear, well-grounded, and comparable decision-making materials for the church council that balance operational needs, finances, cultural-historical values, and sustainability. This role is central to complex work where operational development, economics, and long-term responsibility intersect. To successfully carry out this task, you need knowledge and understanding of the activities conducted in our congregations. Your work directly contributes to creating sustainable, functional, and cost-effective environments for both current and future activities. Why Does This Position Exist? Within the Church of Sweden, work is underway to reduce and adapt property holdings. For Southeastern Jämtland Parish, this represents extensive change work, where a well-anchored facilities planning strategy is crucial. The parish is now making an investment to further develop and implement our facilities planning strategy by expanding operations with two fixed-term positions, one of which is this role. The aim is to increase our capacity to work in a structured, strategic, and long-term manner. Who Are You? We are seeking someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy and practice, who enjoys managing complex processes, and who has the ability to see the big picture without losing sight of the details. You are analytical, communicative, and confident in leading work where many interests converge. You work in a structured manner and enjoy collaborating with others, even though you largely drive your own work forward. You have an interest in sustainability, long-term solutions, and social benefit, and you have relevant education for the tasks. You hold a driver's license and have access to a car. You likely have: experience with project management, strategic development work, and/or facilities planning experience in preparing decision-making materials for management or political bodies Experience from property management, the public sector, church organizations, or cultural-historical environments is a merit – but most important is your ability to drive processes and create clarity.
