The Infrastructure Department at the Traffic Office within Stockholm City has approximately 90 employees and a broad area of operations. The department handles project implementation, management of the city's bridges, tunnels, traffic signal systems, and public lighting. The operations encompass everything from major maintenance and operation projects to investments and reinvestments in the city's facilities, street and urban environment improvements, as well as collaboration projects with the Swedish Transport Administration and the Traffic Authority.

Your Role
As a project manager with us, you are responsible for driving reinvestment projects within the city's infrastructure. As a project manager, you have an important role in the planning, design, and implementation phases of projects, where you drive the project within given parameters and toward the city's goals. You will manage your assigned projects with consideration for safety, sustainability, and efficiency.
Your tasks include, among other things:
• independently lead, plan, administer, and manage your assigned projects
• results, budget, and follow-up responsibility in accordance with the office's procedures
• staff and organize projects with the right expertise (e.g., specialists, consultants, and contractors)
• be responsible for and manage risks and opportunities in projects
• ensure that quality, environment, and work environment are met according to applicable laws and regulations in the projects
• be responsible for procuring services via framework agreements and participate in procurement of contractors in accordance with the Public Procurement Act in your assigned projects
• collaborate and conduct dialogue with external parties as well as cross-functionally within the city
Your Competence and Experience
We are looking for someone who has:
• university education with a focus on infrastructure (e.g., Civil Engineering, Urban Development, City Planning) or other equivalent focus
• current and several years of experience as a project manager of reinvestment projects within infrastructure
• experience with results, budget, and follow-up responsibility in construction or infrastructure projects
• good knowledge of contractor law and industry regulations such as AMA, MER, AB/ABT, and ABK
• experience with document management systems such as Avima
• knowledge of the Public Procurement Act and understanding of how the regulations affect procurement and project implementation
• very good ability to communicate in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
• B-class driver's license
It is meritorious if you also have:
• experience with complex infrastructure projects
• experience in project management of reinvestment regarding buildings, streets, walking and cycling paths
• experience in negotiating, establishing, and monitoring consultant and contractor agreements
• experience working in a politically governed organization

As a person and leader, you are confident, communicative, and relationship-building, with the ability to collaborate and cooperate with many different actors, both internal and external contractors and consultants. To succeed in this role, you need to be able to see and understand the whole picture and lead projects toward constructive, sustainable, and economically value-creating solutions.
